Shipping and Delivery

Silk Route Spirits want you to enjoy our gins and rums as soon as possible after ordering therefore we will ensure they are delivered to you as quickly as the mail system allows. If you order before 12.00 noon, we will make sure your bottle of gin or rum is on its way to you that same day. All other orders will be dispatched within one working day so that they arrive as quickly as possible.

Standard rates of postage will be applied to orders and deliveries will be made via Royal Mail Tracked Services. However, we will provide free delivery on all orders of two or more bottles. We are not currently able to offer a nominated day for delivery but if you live within 20 miles of Newcastle, we will deliver your order by hand based on the same terms.

For all deliveries it is important to remember to allow extra time at busy periods, such as Christmas or Easter, as we do not want you to be disappointed by congested postal schedules.

 

Returns and Refunds

We work hard to describe and present our gins and rums in a way that reflects the ingredients and specially blended mix of flavours. This ensures that our gins and rums provide you with a quality tasting experience for you to enjoy.

If your chosen bottle of gin or rum is damaged during transportation then you should, wherever possible, notify the delivery company and decline receipt of the package. To assure you of the quality of the gins and rums you have ordered, Silk Route Spirits will process returns on items that are damaged and in their original packaging. We are not able to accept returns where bottles have been opened after receipt of the package.

If you are not happy with your delivery, or if you want to request an exchange or refund then please contact us directly on our email address and we will do our best to find a solution to your concerns.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if you receive the wrong item, or if your delivery is damaged. If the package or bottle has been damaged in transit Royal Mail will put it into a sealed plastic bag and photographic proof of this will be available through the tracked mail process. This provides us with information to support you if there is a problem with your purchase

We are always happy to speak to you and discuss how we can resolve any issues you have with your gin or rum provided by Silk Route Spirits.

Exchanges

If you are unfortunate enough to need to return or exchange a damaged item, then once we have agreed to replace your bottle of gin or rum it will be dispatched in line with our standard delivery terms and conditions.

Refunds

If it is necessary to provide you with a refund, then Silk Route Spirits will ensure payment is made via your original payment method within ten working days. Please remember your bank or credit card company may have its own timescales to process and post your refund.

If you have not received your refund after fifteen working days, then please contact us on our email address and we will ensure prompt payment or a response in respect of any outstanding credit.

Finally, Silk Route Spirits maintains the right to reject requests for refunds or exchanges and will always attempt to provide an explanation for our decisions. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    Yes, when we decided to establish Silk Route Spirits, we were committed to the principles of being a craft distiller. This was motivated by our love of the process and our product, our commitment to quality and our desire to have a consistent offer that can be supplemented by specialist, small batch gins for you to enjoy.
  2. Does Silk Route Spirits only produce gin?
    We have launched Silk Route Spirits with an offer of three different gins to appeal to those who drink gin regularly, collectors of gins and those who like to enjoy a range of cocktails. However, it is our intention to develop a range of other spirit-based products and we will be launching a range of rums in late 2023.
  3. Does Silk Route Spirits produce gin for anyone else?
    No, we only produce Silk Route Spirits gin to sell through our company and to enjoy our products you can place an order through our dedicated website.
  4. Where can I find Silk Route Spirits gin?
    You can order our range of gins through our dedicated website, or you can find us at a range of fairs up and down the country throughout the year. You can find details of fairs and outlets on our website.
